Welcome to C3 Vision, your gateway to information and announcements during this city planning process to prepare a community plan (an update to the Comprehensive Plan and the Transportation Plan). This will be a community-driven plan that will chart the future course of our city. You can make a difference in determining the future for Commerce City — growing the sustainable future we want.
How will the Process Work? / Where can You Find Drafts?
Between fall 2008 and winter 2010, the City of Commerce City will work with the community to develop the Community Plan (consisting of the Comprehensive Plan and the Transportation Plan). A citizens committee and a technical advisory committee will guide the planning team (consultants and staff) in the project and work with you — the community.
The City of Commerce city has a Comprehensive Plan, but it is outdated. Whereas typically communities update their plans every 5-7 years, the City is still using a plan from 1985. The plan update will guide future land use, economic development, transportation planning, housing, parks and open space, human services, infrastructure and services investments, and other directions for the next 20 years, leading to a sustainable future for Commerce City.
